Well its about time! It’s hard to believe that Spring is officially here. While winter is still packing up its things, I can’t help but look ahead to warmer temperatures and colourful fashion. After such an epic winter, what better way to welcome the new season than by purchasing an accessory or article of clothing meant for warmer temperatures. To brighten your day or inspire your next shopping trip, here are a few of the top trends for Spring 2014 to look out for.
If you’ve been hitting the gym in an attempt to get over the winter doldrums, this one’s for you. Belly baring tops were all over this season’s runways. For those a little more modest, try pairing a crop top with a high waisted skirt or pant as a way to indulge in this style while maintaining as much coverage as possible.
For those who spent the Winter hanging out on their couch waiting for Spring (*raises hand), here’s a trend for you! Seductive sheer panelling in shirts, skirts and dresses hint at exposure without giving away too much. Try out this trend in white or pastel colours for an overall light and airy look.
This season, bold all-over prints in black and white are fresh for Spring 2014. To get a similar look without spending a dime, pair your a black blouse in a light fabric with a white skirt or pants (wide legged for extra points!).
What’s Spring without a fresh floral print? Look for sophisticated florals splashed on everything from blouses to shoes and trench coats – carry your very own rose garden with you wherever you go!
Already a staple on many runways for a few seasons, fashionable gym wear was everywhere on the runways this season. Look for luxe jogging pants, hoodies and sneakers from high end designers as well as traditional outlets.
