Good Carbs Vs Bad Carbs

Good Carbs Vs Bad Carbs
Let’s face it, everyone loves a good hunk of bread. Or a bowl of pasta. Carbohydrates are not only delicious to eat, but they’re filling, satisfying and provide your body with energy. You might be wondering, how can there be a bad carb? Easy. Refined carbohydrates extract the healthy fiber that your body needs so the product becomes nutritionally useless. Good carbs are only good in moderation, because too many of them can build up your fat stores. How will you know what to eat then? Follow this list:

Good Carbs:
Oats
Beans
Fruits
Vegetables

Bad Carbs:
White Bread
Sugar
Refined Flour Products
Whole Milk

Be sure to check the nutrition label of whatever prepackaged product you are eating to ensure the sugars are low and the fiber is high. Ideally, you want to consume 20grams of fiber a day. At least! The easy way to accomplish this is by switching your regularly scheduled white flour products into whole grain delights. For example, whole grain breads, wheat tortillas, whole grain pasta, whole grain crackers or cereal. The unprocessed whole grain or wheat products are better for your health.

Neglecting to eat carbs at all can be detrimental to your health because they give you energy, and if you try and run your busy life off protein, fruits and vegetables you will find your level of endurance fading quick. Don’t worry about eating carbs, all you have to do is choose the right ones that will help fuel your body and keep the pounds off.
