What to Wear for a Great Holiday Getaway
If your holiday plans involve travel you may already be dreading the thought of packing for your trip. A well packed suitcase will ease your travel mind.

Resist the urge to toss half of your closet in your suitcase. Before you pack, review your itinerary and plan your outfits accordingly. If you don’t have the time to plan outfits, try Glamour Magazine columnist Tracey Lomrantz Lester’s recommendation of packing a palette i.e. navy and cream or black and white. For maximum mix and matching, ensure that you pack more tops than bottoms and a great selection of scarves and accessories. Accessories take up almost no space but can transform the same little black dress into completely different looks.

Wear your bulkiest items, such as boots or a blazer, on the plane to avoid having to pack them. A wrap or pashmina is a great option for keeping warm on your commute and keeping cozy on chilly nights once you reach your destination.
If your workout gear is taking up precious space in your luggage you may be in luck. A few big-name hotels have recently begun lending clients everything they need to work out at their travel destination. As a part of its “Fairmont Fit” program, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts recently announced a partnership with Reebok which enables you to get fitness apparel, footwear, an mp3 player and yoga mat delivered directly to your room. Also new, at 190 Westin Hotels around the world, you can borrow New Balance sneakers, socks and a variety of New Balance workout clothes, from sports bras to capris, for a $5 charge.
Airports are also doing their part to make your layovers more enjoyable. With offerings from the likes of Harrods, Gucci and Cartier, London’s Heathrow International Airport does over a billion dollars in sales each year. Winner of the 2012 World Airport Awards, which are determined by international passengers during a worldwide 10-month survey, Heathrow boasts 48,000 square metres of retail space. Other international airports in this year’s top five include Dubai International Airport, Singapore Changi Airport, Hong Kong International Airport, and Incheon International Airport.
