Eating Delicious and Healthy – On a Budget

Last night while preparing dinner, I thought back to the times I have heard the phrase that eating healthy is more expensive than fast or processed food. I looked at all the ingredients in my dinner and realized that the cost for all the food was less than fast food, and in addition to that, I had left over’s for lunch the next day!  Preparation and planning is key to healthy and low budget eating, and beyond that, here are some great recipes and tips to eat delicious meals while staying on budget! Embrace Whole Grains and Beans: We often look to meat as a source of protein, however, whole grains and beans provide nutrition and protein for less cost. Try eating at least 1 day a week meat-free and embrace the flavour and options you can bring to meals
